Well, it's been a busy summer. I've been actively looking for a new job while balancing my current job, and I'm happy to say that I found a new firm/position downtown. I also turned 30 in June (see the above pic) and was rewarded on my birthday from my wife and family with a new surfboard (a nice Larry Mabile twinzer). Oh we also found a nice little colony of mice in the house who decided to make their own front door under our front door (very cute). May be we need a cat since the dogs don't seem to care about the mice.

This weekend I confirmed that I still got it when I schooled a bunch of "kids" 5-10 years my junior at beer pong, over and over and over again. Then on Sunday I dragged my ass out of bed to go surfing to find a nice cross breeze that flattened the ocean. But I did make some friends with some seals.

Don't believe the hype. 30 is not the new 20.
