96 Degrees in the shade.... Real Hot...in the shade!

The Redneck Riviera!

This week I had a chance to visit my family in the gulf of Florida.
Man coming from California, People are very different here.

It had been about three years since I have seen my parents so I made the trek out to pay respect to my pops, play some golf, relax, and oh yeah- get some work done too....!

The beaches here are incredible and rival Jamaica or the Caymans with wildlife, cocaine white sands, great clear water, and beautiful girls everywhere!

If you get a chance to hit the Florida coast, Bring Sunscreen, a big cooler, and bring some trees because you'll be lucky to find anyone interested in smoking period.

Beer in the sun = sunburn!

Air conditioning is essential here when its 103 degrees out and the humidity is at around 80%, You can bet it feels like 123 degres outside!!

Thefamily Jetta is a 99 GLS and has 23000 original miles, It goes OK on the sand to. Dont tell my mom that I rallied it pretty hard though !!

AS one of my favorite roots bands says..." 96 Degrees in the shade ... real hot. In the shade!!

ONe thing was really cool. I won a Rolex in a poker game on the beach from some rich kid from Alabama, Seriously!! thats was Fuckin awesome!!

It looks like drugs are prett

It looks like drugs are pretty common in this area, I don't know what to say about that, I never did drugs but my brother did. Now he is in a drug treatment center as he was feeling really bad, we were quite worried about him, now we are giving him all of our support. He seems to handle it, what is so good about drugs anyway?

one of the best days for me surfing was in of all places destin, florida.

i was driving down from the outer banks and decided to checkout the the beautiful beaches of the gulf coast.

we pulled into a place (sand destin?) to stay for a few days. as i drove through the security gate, this kid noted the two boards on my roof rack and told me of a spot that was firing. he said to dump our luggage and to come back and pick him up (so that he could show us the way). we did so, picked him up and he cranked up the gate so that anyone could come and go as they pleased.

when we got to the beach, the wave was a shifty peeler that broke both left and right handed. the waves were not the biggest or steepest (and definitely not a-framing...thank god for me) but it was a solid ground swell under bluebird skies and crystal green clear water. their were only three other dudes in the water, all of whom new my knew rent-a-cop friend (thanks corey!).

we ended up later drinking beer and eating fried food-what it was i have no idea but you gulf coast peeps like to fry everything. it was a good end to a day; beautiful beeches and water, nice people and fun surfing.

you went to florida and had a hard time finding weed? dude, the only thing to do in florida is smoke weed. when i visit friends in st.pete i have a hard time finding people who dont smoke. where on the gulf did you go? it looks like clearwater beach.
