SIMS/THE SPORTS AUTHORIY LAUNCH EVENT DRAWS MORE THAN 1400 SHREDS AND RAISES THOUSANDS FOR DENVER BOYS & GIRL’S CLUB AND SNOWBOARDING OUTREACH SOCIETY
They came from the mountains, they came from far away coasts…and they stayed until the very last ember the rooftop bon fire burned. On Friday, August 24, more than 1400 SIMS pros, renowned snowboarding photographers, snow aficionados and rebel rousers embarked on Vinyl nightclub in Denver to celebrate the re-launch of SIMS. And what an unforgettable homage to the upcoming snow season it was as guests admired a photo exhibit from some of our industry’s top photographic talents photographers Danny Zapalac, Aaron Dodds and Jeff Potto, and live tunes played all night on the packed upstairs rooftop deck under a full moon from Frontside Five and headliners the 3OH!3 as well as DJ Goldie. The night proved as legendary as its namesake host, Tom Sims who was on hand with his beautiful wife Hillary, the newly formed SIMS snowboarding team, and the crew of SIMS new headquarters, Denver-based Collective Licensing.

Best of all, the silent auction raised nearly $4000.00 to benefit two local charities; Snowboarding Outreach Society (SOS), and the Denver Boys & Girls Club.
A historical board exhibit as told through Tom Sims’ personal collection of historical boards was on display including the first snowboard ever made fashioned from wood, carpet and radiator hoses. Many of these historical boards have been immortalized in the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum’s permanent display. Sims official web site went live at the event – be sure to check it out at www.simsnow.com. Look out for the complete SIMS line of boards, outerwear and accessories exclusively in Sports Authority doors nationwide.

Nice hat Tom what is that a ed hardy edition? To bad this is a huge post and i overlooked the whole thing i just wasted 5 minutes of my life.A party with free booze on spots authorities bill of course its going to be a good time.To bad sims sucks and has tried to relaunch the brand multiple times.Give up.This brand is a sell out,it appeals to new comers and morons that dont know what is up.Get a new hat on too,i cant believe you actually wear that in public. Is this what snowboarding has become?this post makes me sick. For a minute i thought i was on perezhilton.com
LOL hat advice
Dude, Tom Sims hardly needs hat fashion critique from you judging by your hat offerings. Keep up the good work LOL
