Rome SDS "Any Means" Premiere in Montreal

Words/Photos: Rome SDS

Axis Board shop hosted the Montreal premiere of “Any Means” this Saturday at the infamous Bourbon bar in Saint-Saveur. Rome super rep Nick Rochon rounded up the Quebec crew of LNP, Marie-France Roy, Greg Dejardins, Will Lavigne, Max Legend, and Yan Dofin, got them all to town, and unleashed them on the hyped up crowd. Upon arriving at the bar one was met with an enormous line that snaked all around the building. Kids were stoked, all through the line you could see smiles and anxious chatter. Axis premiered a local film titled “Drop Frame” which featured several really talented local shredders. The place was absolutely packed to capacity, shredders from all over descended on the bar, Shakedown’s Pat Bernier was there, Montreal shredder Jeremy Cloutier was there to lend some support, we even met Yan’s twin sister.

After “Drop Frame” MFR, Yan and Greg took the stage and tossed product to the hungry crowd, while Max and LNP took turns on the microphone hyping everyone up. Any Means cranked to shouts, cheers, drink spraying, and hilarious microphone antics from Max and LNP who at times had the entire crowd chanting for Marie-France and then LNP at the end.

After the movie many many drinks were consumed, Canadians know how to party, and this Axis party was no exception. The team hung with the crowd, and Marie-France even took it upon herself to beat up LNP complete with ripping one of his new vintage shirts to pieces. Everyone was stoked and everyone was hungry for snow and the start of the new season. Big thanks to Axis Board shop, Rome rep Nick Rochon and his crew, and most importantly everyone that came out to support the team and check out “Any Means”.
