santa cruz?

you guys havent said anything about the santa cruz. what do you guys think of them?

I gotta defend

Artifact. All day, the standard in jib sticks. Impact base for resistance against rail damage, bronze edges for cut down on steel against steel connectivity. Only 50 dollars more. Support the SDS, haha sorry you Captialists!

its sick for jibs, but i dont

its sick for jibs, but i dont think it can handle bigger size jumps, and it folds in chunky conditions.

Haha

Depends, tell that to all the pro Romers who run the artifact in the backcountry because it floats in powder from the flex, haha. But, I personally have seen kids charge a 50 footer no problem with it. Depends on how much confidence you got in them jeans!

realy?

well mine was super soft. mayby its the size i was riding?

Stairmaster.

Absolutely. No doubt. Love 'em.

so do you ride the stairmaste

so do you ride the stairmaster all over the mountain or just rails? and how stiff is it?

I do. It's one of the stiffe

I do. It's one of the stiffer jibsticks, but that said, it's still a jib board, so it's totally pressable. It just seems a tad stiffer and more stable, so if I don't have my all-mountain stick with me, the Stairmaster is still competent on other terrain.

stairmaster

yea i think im goin with the stairmaster this year, i already have an artifact for street jibber and im not sure yet if im usin the new stairmaster for just this year or possible next year as well, i plan on riding 2 days a week throughout the season, how long should it last me? mostly jibbin with some jumps here and there

At just two days a week, it s

At just two days a week, it should get you into, if not through, the season after next, no sweat. I haven't jibbed with mine as much as I'd planned, but it's got at least 40 days on it and is still going strong.

tight

well i planned on usin it this year then just a jib/street board the next year and get something a bit more all around(dh, graft, agent, etc.) so as long as its pretty strong this year it will be fine.

how often do you wax it up from gettin too slow?

I usually wax all my boards e

I usually wax all my boards every three days of shred, whether they're feeling slow or not. The only exception is spring time, which is more like once every one or two days of riding. I don't think I've noticed it needing waxing sooner than other boards, but with the extruded base, you can tell that it's not quite as fast as a sintered base. That's probably my only complaint - and one of my main temptations for a Stairmaster Extreme.

yea for sure thats why im not

yea for sure thats why im not sure if i want to go with a kink or www even, im lookin for mostly a jib board but still be able to hit 30-40 ft kickers often, and maybe a 50 ft once or twice. the stairmaster sounds really good with the exception of the extruded base, but from what ive heard with the kink and www, they buckle after anything thats 40+

50 feet.

If you can hit and land a 50 foot table screw a jib board, as far as I'm concerned any board is a jib board. Go with a park board that can handle some crazy air and huge landings, and then you can hit the 50 footers all the time! Just don't keep super sharp edges and you can jib it to,

i would get an all around par

i would get an all around park deck but im gettin one next year for moving out west. i have an artifact now but dont have a street board yet so im gonna move the arty to street status and get another board for the hill just for this year that is more soft but can still hit a few kickers here and there. i dont want to drop money now for an all around park deck
1. cause i live in mn and dont need a stiffer deck yet(mostly jibs with some 30-40 ft kickers)
2. im gettin an all around park deck next year so dropping a lot of money this year and then doing the same again next year would be pointless

if you get a stairmaster and

if you get a stairmaster and plan on riding park/jumps/groomers go with the 152 over the 148. the artifact is a noodle, so id stay away from that.

Get the Stairmaster

Hands down, the best board for the money.

hmmm...

If your planning on mostly jibbing I would suggest the Stairmaster, they are cheap enough so you can beat-the-hell out it and then just buy a new one the next year or so. Santa Cruz make's a really good board all so, super poppy. Being a skater your probably going to destroy the rails and it will beat up your board, so don't drop to much unless you really don't care. Have Fun. Late, Bonnie
