I ordered 686 jacket and pants both in size medium, the jacket fits alright but the pants a really big on me. I'm 5'6" 150-155 lbs. Does anyone know if the smalls are a lot smaller. I don't want holden tight nor do I want super baggy, just comfy.
can you tell me what pant is it? or better yet, which line category is it in? smarty, manual, ace? let me know and i can try to help you out.
They're the Smarty Uzi and the jacket is an ACE Optical, I'm thinking of maybe changing to a small in the jacket as well. I always have a hard time finding outerwear that fits how I want.
Our official production specs are as follows: M=32-34" waist and S=30-32" waist. So yes, obviously the smalls are smaller, but at least now you know just how much smaller. Typically the Smarty stuff runs a little bigger than true to size, because of the removable fleece liner + the Uzi is just a baggier cut in general. If you have the chance, I would suggest you switch to the 59Fifty pant. It's our "slimmest" cut pant. It's not emo - tight or what you would classify as a typical "slim fit", but it's definitely a slimmer cut than the rest of the line. Hope that helped.
Thanks man. What about the ACE optical jacket? I thinking maybe a small in that might be better as well.
Well for the jacket, you're going to lose a full inch in the length and a full inch in the arms so you might want to consider that before sizing down.
What about the shoulder width? Will it feel tight because it's insulated?
yes the smalls are smaller.
Thanks captain obvious. Sometimes there is big difference between sizes, sometimes not so much. If you don't have anything productive to say shut the fuck up!
I too beleive the smalls would be smaller. And this might be way out of the question but before we had the internet, some of us would actually go to a shop and try things on to make sure they fit.But hey.I'm old school.
None of the shops around here carry 686.
