Buying my first board...

Hello I've started skiing at 4 yrs. old. At 12 yrs put on a snowboard and never went back to skis. I have been to CO. for over 10 snowboarding vacations about 7-10 days each. I have not been on a board for 3+ years. I'm from Miami, FL., and recently moved permanently to Breck, CO. I grew up on the water therefore advanced in water sports. I consider myself an intermediate/aggresive snowboarder. Like the park/jumps alot but also like the powder bowls.
I'm a tad over 6' and weigh 185lbs. Wear an 11 size boot.
I've been doing alot of shopping for a new board...

I'm looking strongly at buying a new "EMPIRE - HIGH SOCIETY 160"

I'd appreciate any input from anybody on the this board and it's quality/size/etc...
Thanks in advance for your help.

Why

not equp yourself with a great all around experience for park and powder? Rome Slash 58, Agent components in a wider waist width for the 11+ footed riders. Tri-Axl glass for enough support, Impact plates to reduce base compression when hitting rails and an almost-twin shape for a super fun switch experience? One of my good friends is about your same dimensions...got him on it and it fits him beautifully.

nice, welcome to breck....

...yo, do a lap. the undergound, mountain wave and the big hit are the best stores here in town, all ran by great people/shredders. hit me back, i'll run the lap, again...

I too consider myself an agre

I too consider myself an agressive snowboarder.

Capita can't go wrong

im a little taller and lighter than you but it seems like we're both looking for the same kinda board. i have a capita photo fetish an i'm absolutely in love with it. 160 with a little extra width for the 11's and a nice board for just about everything. this years was named a good wood by TW too so you know it has gotta be good

board

I measured the absolute middle of my board (btw. the bindings) where it's at the skinny-est and got approx. 10in. or 254mm. how does that compare with your board choice?
Thx.

waist width

the waist of this years is 25.65 which is a nice mid wide board if you adjust the bindings right. if you have disks with multiple holes in them just line up the holes perpendicular to the length of the board and set it back one hole.
