Another early awakening proved to pay-off for some diehard snowboarders at Keystone. Showing up as early as 6:00am, five more riders were kitted out with a full setup from Special Blend. Although a few "old time" skiers were up-in-arms about the old school discrimination against them, Special Blend was proud to deny them of any rewards - as, snowboarding is the name of the game here. Those who didn't arrive early enough for First Chair, but arrived in a timely matter for opening day, were rewarded with copies of the new Special Blend DVD, some mini flasks, bottle-openers, stickers, and some free subscriptions to Snowboard Magazine. Lots and lots of crap to give away.

The Green Light, located in River Run's village, played host to the Last Call party. With DJ kicking beats, First Chair Last Call playing on all screens, more Special Blend giveaways, and a hefty bar tab, it's safe to say no one left disappointed. Thanks to the gracious hosts and everyone who made it out that night.
