whats up with Technine/Section?

can some one (cole? ethan?) address the shipping issues with T9 and Section this year? there is very little 08 technine product in stores and NO section product whatsoever. has section/bush bros. run out of money? i'm hearing from shops in utah that the riders aren't getting paid and that stores are canceling their orders in droves.

i've been behind these two brands for years and its sad to see it self-destruct.
one rep after another leaves the company and i sigh and think to myself "will someone answer the phone this time??".

whats up?

Tech 9 is the new Sims

They're Back

Most dealers have all the new Technine bindings in stock now. Those MFMs are hot!

///™ ((((Sound))))

not sure what is really going on, but what is going on is the sound outerwear party here in slc tonight-naturally, i have the worst freaking cold. so, being a (semi) decent human, i will forgo the frolicking, so that no others will be contaminated.

i'm sure that pictures will make their way to the site.

ok, we should curb all the rumors and wild stories before they take over the 'real' truth.

as many of you know the owners of section, the brothers bush (twist, titan, etc.), have been busting their humps with section. for the record, section IS NOT going anywhere, despite the mis-truths that so many of us have been told. word on the street is the 08/09 section line is looking damn good to buyers already.

sound outerwear is also off to a strong start and people are digging the offerings.

on a side note technine is firing hard with a whole new fresh face in the binding and board departments for the 08/09 seasons...again mfm will be on t9 decks while steezed in sound attire.

that's all i know-and that shit is the truth.

Techine will Previal

Technine still has one of the strongest brand names in the industry, especially in the core market. They'd have to do this more than once to really hurt their distribution. There's still tons of Technine Bindings for sale on the internet.

✠™ UK Distributor said this . .

On a UK forum:

"the old company that TECHNINE used to be a part of starting having financial difficulties in June and the best brands from it were saved ie TECHNINE, hence why SECTION took the plunge with the old company and DUFFS got sold off.

Its now under a whole new company, new investors and new monies, and in good form, so much so that new brands are jumping on board like the Chamberlain brothers with Nomis, MFM has put in with his new label SOUND and a few more investors in the US.

Anyhow to cut a very long story short, the old company took the molds for bindings and caused no end of problems with the factories. Everything got sorted out in September, bills got paid the molds got bought back and production started. I only just found out the full story yesterday, but from what ive seen its back on track in a big way.

I know this isnt any good when you got your board sat there with no binders on, so I can only appologise and if I could get your bindings into you, trust me I would. I ve even tried to get the parts here so we can assemble them to speed things up but it couldnt be done.

On a brighter note the first shipment left our warehouse to our stores yesterday (tuesday), its only half of the production run and its the classis designs, the pro models are where the delays have been and I have been told yesterday that they are coming out this week, BUT until I have it from the shipping company I dont want promise anything, but this will be my first place to post it when I know they have left.

I can fully understand you wanting to cancel, but trust me ive been riding in the samples all summer, and all the test cards from the boardtests were amazing, they are the next step up from anything TECHNINE has done in the past, if you hang on just a short while longer I promise you wont be dissapointed.

This has been a fukin huge concern for me aswell as its my career and ive got three kids and bills to pay. But im out in SLC this week, weve got Simon Chamberlain putting his backing into it the company with the new NOMIS range which is tight!, MFM and his backing with SOUND his new label (basically SECTION with a MFM twist), new pro models coming out for new riders, a wicked set of harlem and Lakers basketball bindings, the buz around next seasons range will be amazing !

Moving forward for the new company, they have put in so many fail safe proceedures to stop this ever happening again, from a new Austrian factory which we ship from, a guy in China controlling and overseeing the production runs, and in fact from a meeting we had yesterday they are so confident that next season will be delivered early they are talking about putting clauses on the stores order forms, that if we dont ship by a certain date, they get discounts, its all being worked on and partly the reason why were all out here this week, but im here to make sure the UK doesnt get over looked.

To me the fact that the CHAMBERLAIN boys have moved over to back the new company, MFM is leaving labels to set up his own position within the company and new labels, means the company is out of the sh1t and back on form and im not worrying anymore."

Hey Guys

Yeah the UK rep is a mate of ours

It looks like all the problems with distribution and the old owners is all sorted and all systems are go in the US & the UK, hope that the late delivery hasn't caused the brand to much pain, but it looks like they'll be back under the one Technine Banner next year (section brand is dead) and of course everyones expecting big things from Sound.

that's cool that technine is ok but...

When was this posted? I've been hearing "this week or the next" since september.

I'm stuck riding a signal from the first year with 4 year old agency bindings with boots that NEED cap straps (timbas). I really want to stiff the lip and wait for Technine to come through on these pro series but not if I don't get my shit til february.

Did T9 and Nate Bozung come to an agreement regarding the lawsuit for royalties. Or T9 had to pay in full?
Are they done for real or just messed up??
Good thing that Grenade did not merge or worked toghether with them.
It is sad to see great brands like this strugglin...

Hope that all gets gold again, and retailers get some answers and support from T9.

Cheers,
Benjuca

I'm fucking heated...

I ordered a T9 package from eternal in September. I finally gave up calling them cause they don't know what's going on.

I started calling Technine. They've shipped everything but their BINDINGS! (just the pro series, I guess their other, older styles have shipped) Aren't they a binding company? The girl at customer service told me that THEY didn't know what was going on. She said that they're still waiting on the factory and gave me the customary "one or two weeks." I emailed Technine on their myspace, which is updated regularly, but they haven't even read it yet.

I'm pissed. Cole? Stone? You guys out there? Answer us?

wowsers..

Didn't know technine was that far behind this fall. They did however just launch a new site. Looks like the team roster changed up a bit. We've found some of last years Technine Boards and Bindings, but thats about it. Hope to see more of it in stores soon. Some of the best bindings around.
