eesa Lux Layering, the brand to turn first layer on it’s head by creating the lifestyle performance category, just held their first annual sales meeting in their home town of Waterbury, Vermont. Thanks to Cleary and the eesa family, I found myself with an invitation and a ticket to come and attend the festivities. Responsible parties; Cleary (founder, marketing & sales enabler), Agatha Kessler (sales & marketing enabler), Julianne Bayer (product enabler), Lorena Chamberlin (apparel design enabler), Jessie Vukoson (apparel design enabler) and Kevin Dopp (apparel design enabler). This turned out to be a weekend to remember...
After ripping a couple of laps at opening day up at Breckenridge I hauled ass to the airport. Don't we love the airport?! Yeah, well after almost missing my first flight I was pumped to sit back and enjoy the ride. Just half way through my connecting flight I noticed my neighbor to the right, Dan Sorcinelli, busting out the new issue of SNOWBOARD MAG. Now this had been a lonely trip w/out any of the most recent issues in my laptop bag. (Lucky, Nate, can ya help me out here?) Never before meeting Dan I simply leaned over and asked "Who got the cover"? A simple reply, "Kass". Little did I know Dan was in town for the eesa sales meeting. Dan maintains the northwest territory. Great Adidas Dan.
The first night consisted of a mellow evening at Waterbury Wings. The common meeting spot for all the world travelers. eesa had sales force coming in from as far as New Zealand (AWOL, Lee & Tania), Germany, Austria, Netherlands (Good Quetion Supplies, Eric Bruweleit & Thorsten Hohne), United Kingdom (Nick Atkins) and Switzerland (Christophe Buehlmann). The infamous Canadian Cartel was also in effect, Seb Carbone, Joel Hersey, Jay Woon, Stef Cott and Brady Stoddard's tech rep Taneya Nash. This collection of Canadians handles all business north of the border. From the U.S. side of sales were Tim Stuart, Chris Coleman, Dan Sorcinelli and John Graham. Walt Lacey from our beloved rockies region was on the itinerary but ran into a travel discrepancy.
After sales, marketing and product meetings at Bolton Valley Resort we all looked forward to dinner, a fashion show and massive blow-out party to follow...

Dinner party. Cleary brought in an awesome chef that filled us with quality party fuel!

Cleary, Agatha and the shitguy.

Our euro amigos. The Office was packed...

The Canadian Cartel was just getting warmed up! After all, it was Joel's B-day...

Cleary's wife Rose, Jules, Cleary and Agatha.
After a serious dinner session at the eesa world headquarters we all ventured down to the Waterbury Rod & Game Club to check out the fashion show. The band opened up with Zep’s Ramble On whipping the 150+ into a frenzy as the models rolled on to the stage. From the first note-to-the-last, the band, model and crowd were on point...

Many showed up to see what eesa had up their sleeves...

The band even came styled in eesa!

After the fashion show the band continued to jam on, the beers kept flowing, the Canadians were drinking something else and there was a STREAKER, yes a streaker. You know, "Frank the tank". Yup, people had such a good time this Saturday night that some just felt like getting naked. Somehow Taneya and I came up on the short end of the naked bonfire leap as the streaker cased both of us not once, but twice! were found right in his path, layed out flat. A streaker. Party on...

Yan Dofin soakn' up some more fire.

Eric via Deutschland.

The crowd stood strong. East coast cold!

Joel found warmth elsewhere...

...even as elsewhere as Jesse Fox.

Christophe getn' after it...

Joel and Yan. Rollers.

Maybe what Yan was actually seeing when rolling...

Good times...
A little background on eesa, Cleary cut his teeth at the B, helping to launch Anon. Moving on to start eesa lux layering, Eesa quickly set the standard for layering by creating the lifestyle performance category, ultimately developing a layering system that works snowflake to beachbreak, and everywhere in between. Keep your eyes peeled for eesa products in your area. If you can't find them, email eesa directly at enabler@eesaclothing.com. They’ll send you free shit in the mail or check ‘em out eesa.com and www.myspace.com/eesaclothing for ordering info.
Also, the new eesa SNOWBOARD Mag sock...nice...
Special thanks to eesa Lux Layering crew, Snowboard Mag and Snwbdrhoon and Seb Carobene for your photo contributions. Cavan for my movie. Super duper thanks to Runke for the invite to his casa and another thanks for unknowingly offering your new issue of Snowboard Mag to me for my flight home.
