Rian Rhoe Named Communications Coordinator for Bonfire and Salomon Snowboards

PORTLAND, ORE. (Nov. 29, 2007)—Former contributing writer to Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and current Bonfire Marketing Coordinator Rian Rhoe was named Communications Coordinator for both Salomon Snowboards and Bonfire Snowboarding today in Portland, Oregon.

Rhoe comes to Bonfire and Salomon with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication from the University of Oregon. While at the U of O, Rhoe spent summers coaching at High Cascade Snowboard Camp and winters on Mt. Hood coaching high school snowboard teams.

“I’m looking forward to combining my educational background and snowboarding experience in this new position with this fantastic crew,” Rhoe said.

Rhoe began her writing career for Transworld while managing Signal Sports, a women’s specific snowboard and ski shop in Portland, OR.

Bonfire and Salomon Marketing Manager Amy Eichner said, “In the past 8 months, Rian has worked extremely hard. She has more than proven to us that she holds the qualifications for the job. Rian has the experience in journalism, background as a true snowboarder and dedication to promoting the brands. We’re lucky to have her in this new position.”

In her previous role as Bonfire’s Marketing Coordinator, Rhoe managed public relations, organized summer events and camp promotions on Mt. Hood, organized Bonfire’s fall movie tour and oversaw various marketing and communications functions.

In her new role, Rhoe will coordinate International communications and press functions for both Bonfire and Salomon.

Bonfire Snowboarding was created in 1989, in Huntington Beach, California, and has made Portland, Oregon its home since 1992.

Salomon Snowboards recently celebrated 10 years of creating leading edge snowboard products for riders all over the world.
