60 inches bitches!!! Right from the start I just want to thank Davey Pitcher and the entire Wolf Creek staff for hosting one of the most incredible weekends of snowboarding ever!!!
I was having lunch at the top of Aspen Mountain with Colin Langlois when we got on the weather topic. Everyone was super excited about the snow that was tracking in on the radar. 3 feet they were claiming was going to set CO just right with a nice fat front coming in from the south. Wait a minute here, the south you say? Well hell, I can only think of one place I would rather be on a southern swell in Rado. As soon as I got home I saw on NOAA that Wolf Creek was about to get slammed by 30 inches Friday night. As I pushed my eyeballs back in my head I grabbed my phone to get long time Wolf Creek local Justin Bartle on the celly. And without any coaxing at all we were packed up and out the door in true storm chaser fashion.
We arrived Saturday morning to an empty parking lot, 50 mile an hour winds, 30 inches of heavy snow and total downpour of snow. This is what we came for, winter was in full effect and it was all for the soul today.

SO SICK
I just wish it was Breck. Knowing Vail though even with 40 inches they wouldn't open the rest of the mtn. I heard it was totally tracked out by today though. Bummer looks like you guys hit it right!
It was truley an Epic Session
and it will probably get the reset button by this weekend.
Bastards! Money bartle shot!

Looks fun, some nice slashers in there.
chea B! you should have been there
and your better half...
Officially jealous!
Red Mtn pass in a snowstorm is no joke....Wolf Creek always has the early season goods!
It's weird seeing an article on the creek without Kalei in it...
yaaa.
Kalei was on the no friends program I think. You know he was sessioning the real lines around the joint. His pops was representing hard for the Pitcher team tho.
What up with the DGO/PURG sled trip?
I'll make ya famous...
I'm in!
I'm living in Tahoe these days but since everybody likes to drink until sunrise and not get things done I'd be more than willing to load up the sled and come out that way.
Never Summer would be stoked if I can get more done this year...I'll shoot you a pm when things slow down here at work....are you thinking this weekend?
Nice photos Zach
