I for one would like to recommend that days such as last Friday should be something of a regular occurrence around here. Lots of fun in an "all day" sort of manner is possibly the best manner to have your fun. . . .or somethin'. November the 30th was the day that the first annual Toddapalooza was to take place. A celebration of sorts that showcased local talent and permitted Todd Richards to get bull horny and heckle the youth of Breckenridge. This "perfect day" would commence in a dark and dingy nightclub known as Sherpa and Yetis with the showing of Isenseven's Ubermovie! Throw in the fact that some of our favorite friends were in town for some shredding and we had a pretty good lookin' day ahead of us. So with much anticipation, the car was packed and we were off to Breckenridge. Oh, and wait a minute. . . Breck had managed to pull together enough snow flakes to present us all with the first jumps of the season too ! !

We swung through Frisco to rally a few friends and get this party on the road. The likes of Chanelle Sladics, Tara Dakides, Alexis Waite and Marius Otterstad had all camped out at Dave Lehl's place and were fired up for the fun. We arrived to find great conditions and Toddapalooza in full effect! "Jumping with eggs in your back pockets", "Intentional Scorpions" and "Find a stranger to make out with" were what I would consider the highlights. Kids went home smiling with boards, bandanas and slimy stuff in their pockets care of Omatic Snowboards.

Fun was had by all as the lift line was taken over by familiar faces and the snow sliding party continued! We had some super fun runs with some great friends and finished the day off with some good ole fashioned box hiking. Chanelle was stoked on her new board and as you can see, she was doing just fine on it!

Soon it was time to head out and get some food in the bellies before the Isenseven party. Giam Pietros is always a favorite and a spot that I would highly recommend to anyone hungry in Breckenridge. Hit it up and be sure to visit Chris next door at The Big Hit snowboard shop. With our appetite for Italian satisfied, we were off to visit a few friends at South Ridge Seafood and satisfy the other hunger. Todd Franzen, Frank Wells and Breckenridge Mayor, Nic Drago were enjoying some of the South Ridge Fare. Another must hit restaurant in Breck! From the sounds of things, Frank and the SPT crew are going to have quite a bit in store for us over at Copper! Might just be the spot to be again!?!

After an hour or so of set up at Sherpa and Yetis, we figured we were ready for a PARTY! Paintings from local artist Dave Sheets adorned the club walls, Avery Brewing had flushed the lines and hooked up kegs they had brought in for the event and Complimentary SNOWBOARD Mag subscription cards were at the ready for the crowd to roll in. Small problem. . . . . DVD won't play! Now I don't mind working under pressure, but by the time we had tracked down and tried the FIFTH DVD player, I think it's fair to say that we were a little stressed. Dave Lehl had set us up with a slideshow of his photos that bought us some time, but nothing was working! It wasn't until 10:30 or so that Scott Sparks arrived with the magical twenty dollar dvd player that saved the night! The movie was ON and it was time to kick back and relax. Everyone loved the flick and proceeded to make party! If you have yet to check out the Isenseven flick, do yourself a favor and get on it! It's not too often that you find people sitting down and actually WATCHING a movie at a party like this, but Ubermovie is well done and screaming for attention! We had a blast and got the night done proper.
