Burton X8 vs X8v ltd

Anyone ridden these two? X8 softer than X8v ltd? Heard the X8v ltd is stiffer and rides more like a Custom X but haven't been on either, son wants soft buttery 157 X8 for park and some all mountain, but not its graphics, already has Custom X 152, is X8v ltd same as Custom X?
