they look really nice, but: has anybody tried them? is their lacing system good?
Deeluxe has been a Euro brand for days, I think they even did a lot of OEM stuff for US boot companies for a while, but I could be wrong. I've never ridden a pair, but I have tried a few of the new styles on and they feel pretty darn good. Plus, C3 ain't gonna push something whack. They could have done their own brand, or picked up another smaller boot brand (celsius?), but instead, they went with what they knew was going to kick ass out of the gates. Now they just need to market them a bit better to help with that shelf appeal.
I have the rough diamonds and they are a great boot The speed lacing is super easy to use. The boots fit great and the mid flex is awesome. You will not regret them.
i pro-formed a pair of celsius boots this season from my shop and then before i rode them i got hooked up with deeluxe from the rep. i was kind skeptical about them and sad to give up my celsius but i gave them a go. i have the id scl in white and green and aesthetically theyre really not a bad looking boot and i absolutely love them. the speed lacing system is super nice, doesnt tear up your hands and works awesome. the liner on the boot is suppppper nice and warm and extremely easy to get ur foot in and out of. the boots are solid and well built and i would definitely reccomend them. and no theyre not under burton theyre under c3.
Ground Zero Boardshop - CAPiTA Snowboards - Union Bindings - Deeluxe Boots - Coal Headwear
Burton for sure did not buy Deeluxe. They are distriduted in the US by C3 distribution which is Capita, Union, Coal, Defcon and Deeluxe. The boots fit great but the lacing system turns a lot of people off.
Deeluxe makes some of the best boots on the market. if not the best boots on the market. the problem is their astetics suck along with their shelf appeal. they are just plain ugly.
typical euro brand. think that all you need is quality product and it will sell itself. too bad other boot brands are proof that quality is the least of your worries when you have amazing brand image and marketing.
you wont be disapointed in how your deeluxe boots work. just how they look.
yeah, but who cares how they look-right? plus who looks at boots-a chick? are you a chick? it's about fit, flex and overall comfort.
i've heard nothing but good things about them, especially the rough diamond model...
something tells me that the doods a c3 worldwide know what's up-and your girl panting about artwork on boots isn't what they are focused on.
ps-girls rock, no disrespect meant.
pss-sorry; 'girlz ruhl!'
I saw a chick wearing those DC Apres boots for riding. We're moving back towards the Sorel days!
I heard a rumor on the mountain that Burton is in negotiations to purchase Deeluxe...anyone else hear anything?
Dunno but the Deeluxe lacing system is all but identical to Speed Zone - they are pretty big in Europe, and from what i have seen are really well put together
the lacing system may look like burton, but it is way better, I have last years ID they are awesome. The heel is nice and tight, I have the least heel lift of any boot I have ever had. Also the toebox is fairly big so I have really comfy toes.
