This year was an amazing year for me. I finally ended up where I’ve seen myself all along: living the dream and writing in Lake Tahoe. Although I anticipate a huge 2008 I want to give it up to 2007 and reflect on the moments that made my year so great. Thanks so much to all the boys at SNOWBOARD Mag for giving me a chance and contributing to my success. It means more than you know and I can’t wait to hustle it next year! I also want to thank the users of the site for reading and letting me know how much you like my posts. I wish everyone a prosperous New Year and may all your dreams come true. Sincerely, Tawnya.

South Shore Soldiers Spring Break
I’ve been snowboarding for 10 years and have never seriously injured myself, thank god; but at South Shore Soldiers Camp I became a little overly confident and ended up with my first concussion. It was a memory I will never forget…that is if I can actually ever remember what really happened. Damn.

Grenade Games at Snoqualmie
All I must say is SNOWBOARD Mag made Grenade Games. We killed it and practically killed everyone else who ate our yummy treats from the “Baked Sale.” The Games were definitely all-time with record attendance, a sweet setup, and everyone holding down (or in this case burning down) the roots of snowboarding.

West Coast Invite at Mammoth
This was definitely the best weekend of last season. There was never a dull moment and it was a great end to a great season; fun people, lots of drinking, prime entertainment, and some of the best park days ever.

Windell’s Summer Camp Session 2
Oregon Summer Recap
The one place I have continuously heard about since I’ve been snowboarding is Mt. Hood. Since it’s the only place in the U.S. to snowboard during summer all the pros and everyone remotely into the sport ends up there at some point during the warm season. Not only did I get to check it out this year for my first time SNOWBOARD Mag hooked it up and I was officially stationed there all summer; almost three months to be exact! Anyway I am enthusiastic to be able to say I have “been there done that” and in snowboard industry terms I can now be considered legit.

The M.F.M. Interview
This is my favorite interview I have done so far. Marco is an icon not only on the snowboard front but just as a person in general. It was a dream come true for me and I am stoked with how it turned out.

Rome’s “Any Means” Review
It’s fun not to only focus on contests and events sometimes and try different things. Writing video reviews is a good way to do that not to mention I enjoy watching videos in general so to be able to add many new editions to my collection made all the sense to me. This Rome review was a really good one.

Cheers to meeting many new friends and making plenty more epic memories in 2008. I can’t wait!
