I've been looking for a 325ix for a while now. I know some of you guys own them, so I was hoping you could provide some insight. Would you recommend the car? |

I bought my iX with 84K on the clock nearly 7 years ago, I now have over 200K and still drive the little bastard whenever I am home. I have a STI as well, the only thing she has on the iX is the 300 ponies, otherwise iX is every bit as fun. Good luck finding one though, they are pretty rare and the enthusiasts are snatching them up. I get notes left on mine quite often with people inquiring about buying it. Here's a photo, I would like to say that she still looks as beautiful but it has a few years of family on her now.
Reminds me did anyone get the Deer vs. BMW forward?

dropped with H&R springs, Bilstein HD Shocks, Boral custom exhaust, custom short shift kit, Hella Headlight inserts, Potenza S-03s on racing dynamics anthracite alloys
Yeah once Drago sees this...

1991 BMW 325IX for sale...
Now I'm the 3rd owner of this little gem, purchased at only 91k. Now it's sitting on 132k. The first owner of this car was a little lady from Cherry Creek who drove it to the store and country club. I approached the 2nd owner and told him "if you ever want to sell this please give me a call", which he did 5 months later. It's time to move on to a Dodge Ram, if i can't hold out till the diesel Tundra comes out. This Bimmer comes with the original 15" BBS "Basket" wheels with 4 studded snows and a set of 16" BBS "Moda" wheels with a "Z" rated Bridgestone Potenza. It's equipped with a Tri-Flo exhaust system, Dinan™ performance chip and K & N air intake. This is the last year this car was produced, hence driver side airbag. And yes, 5 speed manual transmission. Just ask Pancho or Gary, you could eat of the engine it's so clean. I've taken every initiative to keep this car as clean as possible. Car comes with complete frontend bra and car cover. I highly recommend this model car to anyone that wants durability and style. I'm only selling due to needing a more work related vehicle. My chick is going to be pissed but whateves...
I'm serious so serious inquiries only...gary?
...
why is she gonna be pissed?cause your selling her car....

BMW's rule - nice choice for the money!
This ones for sale too, But it is not the IX. 2800 and cared for meticulously!
Drive it anywhere...
Yup it works good in the snow even.
make it happen Nic...
And even works for the mountain parking lots
.
priceless.
so i got one
picked this up in February.
5 speed manual transmission
114k on the odometer
Diamond black metallic
Magnaflow muffler
paid $5500 for it
I'm in the process of blacking out the car, just have to save up the money. I'm going to put a K&N filter in, chip the car, tint the windows, and possibly lower it in the future. just depends on how much money I can save up.
Murder bad. Original beauty, good.
No need to hide the true identity of this beautiful machine by murdering it out. Why deter from the artists original vision?
Please don't do it. Every soccer mom is doing this where I live (one of the many attempts to become and feel younger, I suppose)-don't be a soccer mom with a penis.
Them logs need bowing®.
So it's been awhile since
So it's been awhile since I've posted an update on the iX.
I've driven it in the snow and it is a beast, I'm in the process of finding some 4 lug wheels so I can mount some Blizzak WS-50 tires I have lying around. It'll be real fun once those are on.
I went to an autocross and it was definitely an experience, nothing like driving on the street at all.
This thing really really grips the road.
Since my last post, I've done some stuff to the car:
20% tint all around
Mark D performance chip (+15hp/15tq)
iS trunk spoiler
iS front lip
US ellipsoids w/ yellow highbeams
K&N CAI
I'll be putting Bilsteins/H&R springs once I find some money.
It's a little dirty, but I had just driven back form Tahoe

Autocross
looks...
...F'n good, man...
Thanks Drago
Thanks Drago
get some kibble...
...to get an intake & exhaust to really enhance that chip eh...
I have a friend selling a
I have a friend selling a B&B Triflo for $200, but I don't really have the money and I really like how my tips look. Plus the Magnaflow is already extremely loud. I have a CAI, but either need to get a heatshield to really make it effective, or revert back to the stock airbox system. well see what happens...
nice...
...keep those photos coming...
Who got the key to my Bimmer?
The 2012 BMW M6... for gary and drago
///™ Hands on a hard body.
i'd get gay to get one of those.
Here are some more pictures
Here are some more pictures I took recently.
I just got a summer internship with Credit Suisse's Private Wealth Management group in Los Angeles, so hopefully by summer's end, it'll be dumped on H&R/Bilsteins or GC coil overs and I can start taking it to more HPDE and auto-x's. Possibly some new wheels too...
If anyone is considering getting a great AWD car, get a 325iX. They are incredibly fun cars to drive and are solid in the snow.
Gary- By the looks of your pictures, you live/lived in San Francisco. I'm not sure if you do anymore, but if you're still in the area, check out www.baye30.net it'd be great to have another snowboarder on the forum.
