Snowboy Productions, The Summit at Snoqualmie and Ride Snowboards announce the arrival of The Greenhorn Games! The coolest 13 and under contest in the world! This free mini-shred slopestyle snowboard contest takes place on January 26 in the Greenhorn Acres terrain park located off of the Holiday Chair at the Summit Central base area.

”This is a great low-key environment where the groms are the stars” said event creator Krush Kulesza. “So many times at other events they are having to deal with riding features that are generally built for the bigger and older riders. We wanted to make a legit, smaller-scale event just for them were there isn’t the pressure to be the next great prodigy…just hang out and shred with other kids their age.”

Industry heavy-weights Ride Snowboards, Sessions and Oakley were quick to jump on board as well as local shreds and reps looking to give back to the kids and the sport. Summit regulars Austin Hironaka, Jesse Burtner, Austen Sweetin, Sean Genovese and Jacob Krugmire are a few of the folks that will be on-hand cheering on and hanging out with the kids.

Registration is from 9 – 10:30am in the Main Lodge at Summit Central / Free event to snowboarders 13 and under / Helmets required / Parent signature needed to compete
