Lake Tahoe, CA: With SIA just around the corner, Smokin' Jay has been workin hard in the factory putting the finishing touches on our new line for the 08-09 season. We're Stoked to be offering our complete line with MAGNE-TRACTION!!! or with regular edges along with the addition of a couple of new riders and boards to the line.

For the park rats and rail jocks we have created the most ideal board for 08-09. The “Minor in Possession” is a relatively inexpensive board made with the same quality craftsmanship as our other boards, but offers a little more flex along with a true twin shovel nose and tail. This board rides like a dream in the park and only comes with MAGNE-TRACTION!!! so you'll be sure to hold your edges on big jumps while riding it de-tuned for rails.

Living in Lake Tahoe we are always trying to minimize our impact on the environment and along with Mike Basich, Smokin' Snowboards is proud to bring you the Mike Basich Project. Stemming from his environmentally friendly home in Lake Tahoe, Area-241, Mikey B has created a snowboard using an already down tree from his property for the cores, recycled sidewall material, and eliminating most unnecessary elements like the toxic curtain coat on the base. We are also eliminating all overstock and only making these to order in contrast to corporations with quotas to please greedy investors. The future of our winters in in our hands.

Riding big mountains and big powder has always been a big part of Smokin' Snowboards, as well as Smokin' Jay himself. An avid Squaw Valley junkie, Smokie has created the perfect pintail board for epic pow days and slashing the white wave. Pinky Taylor of Lost Surfboards fame came to Smokin' Snowboards with the sickest punk inspired, mayhem style graphic, perfect for the way we shred. Mean and Fast. Dropping cliffs or slashing pow on our “Pinner”, you're sure to turn heads with this sick pintail shape. We would also like to announce the addition of Jeremy “Bunz” Grendhal, and Dakota Whittaker to the Smokin' Snowboards team. Look for these kids along with the rest of our team of Mikey B, Shawn Farmer, Andrew Brewer, Shane Grimes, Scott Curtis, Joe Fontaine, Nik Batko, Dave King, Steven Brown, and Jen Wolf.

In regards to the Smokin' Snowboards Ad in the February 2008 issue of Snowboard Mag, we would like to retract the misprint we mistakenly ran with Lane Knaack in the ad. He does notride for Smokin' Snowboards and we would like to apologize to Lane and all parties involved with this situation.
