New boarder... can someone help me out.

I'm 6'1, 162lbs size 12 foot and am riding for my third season. I don't really know much about boards but from what I've looked into i narrowed it down to 4 boards.
Its between:
Rome manual 159 for $224
Rome machine 159 for $273
Atomic Alibi 161W for $360
Ride dose 162 for $314
all of them are 08's
im just starting park and wanted to use this board for the next bunch of years.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Well, you are right about you

Well, you are right about your size, stay between 159 & 165

I would go with Ride such as the Ride Decade Wide 162cm, or the Dose as you said, which includes sintered base rather than the rome machine which features extruded.
Of course more expensive -> better. But you can do a long time with it, you can hit the rails as often as you wish Eye-wink

if you want free sunglasses w

if you want free sunglasses with your deck, drop me a PM !

maybe go a tad smaller.

I think you should look into the 157-158 range. But thats only if you already have a board for the rest of the hill right now. A smaller board will make spins and jibbing easier plus cut down a little in the weight department.

I suggest:
Ride - Kink 158 - it may not be a wide board but it is still quite wide. if you can find your bindings/boots comfortably on the board then it's a good choice. plus it made transworld's goodwood.

K2 - Afterblack 157 - it's pretty much the wide version of the darkstar but K2 which is hands down one of the best boards of 08. just look at all the board tests and reviews.
