Any advice for a board buy? Burton vs. Never Summer/ Forum vs. LibTech

Hi there,

if anybody can be of substancial help to me I would be thankful:

So for the facts: I´m 6´3", 190 lbs., Boots 11-12

and I am looking for a freeride/ freestyle board seperately:

I have quite some experience riding, jumping but little jibbing yet (just grinding on concrete)

So my choice is just in between a Burton king 167 or Never Summer 172 Legacy for freeriding. But I also would use the board on the slopes, so I am not quite sure what to take.

For freestyle it would be a Forum 156 grudge midwide or a 06/07 LibTech Dark 161 wide.

Thanx for any help!!

Vinnie

Steer clear

of the Burton. 2 totally different riding boards you are choosing from. The NS will blow the doors off of that King. I agree with the 158 Capita...that would be a good choice for your parky stuff.

CAPiTA

For your smaller stick, go for a CAPiTA Mid Life 158 and never look back, this board will blow you away. Wide enough for a 12, deep ass sidecut for mad turning power and tons of contact length for a 158. The CAPiTA Photo Fetish 158 is a bit narrower but should still fit an 11 or 12 boot, not as much sidecut at the mide life, but the twin shape and flex are hot.

NS Legacy 166

I have a NS Legacy 66 and it is a great freeride board. It's pretty stiff and carves like a dream. Floats in the Colorado pow too. It has mad pop, but don't try and butter with it.
FYI - I'm 6'3" 180 with size 12's. I think a 172 would be overkill unless you will only be riding in the backcountry.
