does it matter

when I was in high school in northern Michigan I had a 76 chrysler newport. got a huge posse to and from the hill, when times were tough we used to syphon gas from the neighbors or the farm equipment around the county. A hose and gas cans are cheap. My recommendation is to watch Mad Max the movie for inspiration.

Noxious habits-mmmgood.

Siphoning gas has done wonders for my vision and speech impediment. I highly recommend this weekend 'getaway' to anyone bored with glue huffing.

Them logs need bowing®.

???

HAHAHA... Hummer... and absolute requirement for those large dump days when you have the mountain all to yourself... if you can get there.

yea dude for those 3 ft pow d

yea dude for those 3 ft pow days at spirit....just kidding

but seriously, why would i want a hummer if my blazer gets crappy mileage?

biodiesel

I have an 06 VW Golf TDI that gets 50mpg on BioDiesel, makes those surf spot checks much cheaper. It has this crazy 4 wheel traction control, but the rear wheels do not provide power. When it's super icy, I fly past most of the 4wd people. When it's deep, no vas.

Yo... It's Minnesota for life Bro>

Hey MWKID,

I am born and raised in Duluth MN. Spent many years going from 21t and Woodland Ave. to Spirit Mountain without the luxury of 4WD. (in fact most of the time my brother Steven and I were on the DTA) You are at the head of the curve with your Blazer depending on where in the state you live.

Since moving to Colorado and starting The Lucid Notion Snowboard Company I have resorted to an AWD Volkswagen Passatt.

I don't think you need a 4WD to get around. You just have to remain smart about the way you travel. Remember that I spent my high school years at Duluth East on Hawthorne...driving a 77 Dodge Pickup (thanks dad) with no 4WD and a 3 on the tree.

Drive within your limits....

i live in lino lakes, its a n

i live in lino lakes, its a north suburb of the twin cities, right next to blaine. i figure i barely use the 4wd so i dont even need it, especially if i get a front wheel drive car, i was thinking about a golf, they look pretty spacious...

go for..

Check out the Jetta wagon - a little longer than the golf so you can sleep in it if need be and pack some bros in there if you decide to roadie up to spirit or lutsen. I've got one and it'll go through whatever i throw at it. I think they even made them in the TDI if you wanna rock the biodiesel conversion. (I've got the 1.8t and it gets pretty decent mileage, for sure better than your blazer gets).

how about the regular jettas?

how about the regular jettas? found a few on carsoup...
