It's about time...

Office life sucks. Plain and simple. It's a web, that once you get caught up in, will ruin your life. I'm a snowboarder. Plain and simple. It's what I do, it's who I am. It's my religion. On the first day, God created mountains. Then, he created snow, which fell later that night. On the second day, the world was beautiful, blanketed with snow. Soon after, Jake brought snowboarding to the world. It's the web that I am wrapped up in. Not some desk job.

This is the sight that I live for. Of course, shit needs to get done, but this is where I get it done. This is my past week of (thank God) shredding.

Dave Grigsby and I managed to get out of this sanctum of cubicles for a few days last week by dropping the magic words to escape. We got it good, too.

The Keystone on-snow demo was going on Thursday and Friday. Reason enough to get out on snow with some new products, and chill out with some companies, where it matters most...on snow.

Nomis' Ryan Turley, running the Technine booth, yo!

We got out on some K2 Gyrators with board engineer Sean Tedore. Holy crap. Amazing boards, those Gyrators.

WWSRA was kind enough to hook it up with beers and brats.

K2 was throwing a party at their condo. Marketing Director Danielle Hambleton was on the stove, mixing up some beef and chicken tacos. So good.

We hooked up with Drago, and crashed at his pad. His dog is rad. Pitbull mix. Name's Odie. Maybe short for ODB.

Off to Vail, where the Honda Session was taking place. Due to the on-snow demo, we missed out on the rail jam on Friday, but the big spectacle was going down on Saturday.

First things first. The event didn't start until 7PM, and there was still plenty of snow to be had.

As embarassed as I am to say it, it was my first time riding Vail. Incredible. If you've never been there, be sure to check it out. It has something for everyone. Open bowls, open groves of Aspen trees, cliffs, rocks, pillows. Amazing.

Part of the course. Big piles.

Jusso Laivisto with Jory from SoGnar TV.

Creeps.

Jonas Carlson.

Purl Wax's Cort Muller getting Torstein Horgmo's board ready for action.

Our ride.

My new Facebook friend Kevin Casillo and Andrew Mutty.

TJ, getting episode 19 ready.

Go time. Mark Sollars 1080 flame ball gapper.

Nothing like the warmth from a few hundred PSI of propane.

Jonas Carlson on the down box at the bottom of the course.

I'm gonna have to say that the Session layout is the bomb. Flames, huge jumps, rails, hips, c-rails, wall rides. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but goddamn, it's awesome.

Torstein is pretty much the man.

So is Andreas.

The event drew quite the crowd. Since it was difficult to see the top two jumps, all eyes were on the huge monitor at the bottom of the course.

Hip-hop.

Jonas and Capita's Blue Montgomery.

Sollars.

Scotty and Andreas.

It was cold...really cold.

Someone said that fisheye closeups are in. Sorry TJ.

Like I said...really cold.

The crazy character on the left (Chaz Guildemond) landed a backside 1440 during the contest. Creeps and Ninja are stoked on their boys. Andreas took the overall.

Someone whipped out a Sharpie, and all Hell broke loose.
