Juuso Laivisto Earning the MVP Title
Bear Mountain Sold Out of Lift Tickets for the etnies GvR Snow with More Than 7,000 People in Attendance
Big Bear Lake, Calif. – Today the first-ever etnies GvR Snow went down at Bear Mountain, California and the Regulars stomped the Goofies and took the win!
The event started off with blue skies, and despite the change of conditions, with heavy snow fall during the Regular Team’s final runs, Juuso Laivisto sent it and earned both first place and MVP!
The team-based format of etnies GvR Snow put Transworld Snowboarding’s Regular Footed riders against FUEL TV’s Goofy Footed riders, with each team appointing a team captain. The final score left the Regular footers victorious with 2747 points over Goofy’s 2345.
FUEL TV’s Director, John Stouffer, came out to lead the Goofy Team to take the win, with Nick Dirks, Louie Vito, Ryan Thompson, Simon Chamberlain and Chris Bradshaw as the starting five going into the finals.
Kurt Hoy, captain of the Regular Team, appointed Austin Smith, Joe Sexton, JP Walker, Markku Koski and Robbie Walker as his starting five going into the finals.
Juuso Laivisto came out, qualified for the finals and pulled some stylish backside 7’s, frontside 7’s and a 50-50 to 360-out on the rail to win it for the team.
