PORTLAND, ORE. (Feb. 25, 2008) -- It’s official. The kids are shredding the Midwest with proper enthusiasm and signature style. Nearly 100 groms turned out for the event of the year in Josh Sherman’s old stomping grounds, Tyrol Basin, Wisconsin.
Best trick and a Salomon Snowboard went to Tony Kruzenbaum for a one-footed frontside 270 on to 270 off. Connor Southerland finished first for guys, followed by Jeff Lund in second and Gunnar Shuler in third.

The sun was shining and temps reached a balmy 20 degrees for the jam. The number of female competitors even doubled this year! First place for girls went to Katie Schlicht, second place went to Tanya Zarling and Tori Vancil came in third.

The Future of Snowboarding prize, which included a full set up from Bonfire, was easily won by little ripper Brandon Salenicz.

All the finalists received a limited edition Tall Tee Jersey. The day went of without a hitch. Josh Sherman pretty much made the whole event happen with his own blood, sweat and tears and help from the following event sponsors: Salomon Snowboards, Bonfire Snowboarding, Smith, Drop. Elm Company and Breckenridge Resort.
