Trip to Mountain High

Words/Photos: Lucky Lopez

I hit up Mountain High this weekend with my 6 year old twin cousins. We could not have asked for a better day, lots of sun and soft snow. They have been wanting to see what this snowboarding thing is all about. Their parents finally decided to trust me with their lives out on the hill. There was no need to worry, these girls are naturals. Got them suited up and they killed it. I used the Lopez technique, I told them not to be afraid of falling and point it down the hill, they did and had some successful runs. Thank you to Mountain High's Bryce Maxwell, Burton, 686, Spy Optics, Vans, Wave Rave Snowboard Shop (Mammoth Lakes), Special Blend and Bern Helmets.
