Lake Tahoe, CA: It was another legendary day at Donner Ski Ranch for the Tahoe Legends of Snowboarding “Vintage Snowboarding Mogul World Championships”. All the heads were out there including Shawn Farmer, Mike Basich, Bob Klein, Rocket Reaves, Tom Burt, Pauly Johansen, Jim Zeller, Smokin Jay Quintin, Corey Actoong, Don Bostick, Shigeru Ishihara, and many more.

Originally planned as a mogul contest, with the great conditions from the recent storm, this years contest turned into a Big mountain contest with every rider mobbing the Ranch’s cliff line on vintage snowboards. With Great Music from Chunks of Metal consisting of lead singer Shawn Farmer, Lead Guitar Jeff Hacket, Bass Guitar Terry Kidwell, and on the Drums Bob Klein… All amazing athletes and musicians…

The contest went off great and was a huge success once again at Donner Ski Ranch Bob Klein said the contest was unfair because Tom Burt is Tom Burt… I guess some things never change… Competitive still to this day.

I was in Tahoe, but missed this one. Really wanted to make it, but thanks Binky and Jay for getting us a piece of the action. I hope it was a great time.
