US Open-Day 2 and 3

It's March and that means a few things. Basketball, making maple syrup, unpredictable weather and of course the U.S. Open.Though its changed a-lot through the years and become somewhat of a circus of late the Open always draws a large crowd and competitors hoping to make it onto the most elite podium in snowboarding. For someone from Vermont its hard to see it become the kook show that it is today as we hold our snowboarding traditions close but every year the green mountain faithful show up to watch locals and foreigners go for glory. The past few years the weather has put those who have to pre-qualify through hell and this year has been no different. Rain, sleet, and wind has made the week lots of fun for everyone so far but as of right now partially cloudy skies with just a bit of sun appears to be dominating. With clear skies forecast for tomorrow the most revered pipe event in snowboarding will hopefully go off. If you're at the open grab that tall can and hide it in a glove like Terje does, make your way to the pipe and bang on those banners!
