Not many people wake up before 10 am on a Saturday let alone the Saturday during the U.S. Open but lucky for me my air matress lost most of its air and in this room blinds are...well there are none. So today looks to be the best day of Open 08 so far being that I can't see a cloud in the sky and at least here there no wind for the moment. To take a second though and ask everyone to think positive thoughts for our buddy Tyler Emond. Ty came up short on a jump yesterday on the super super awesome slopestyle course and his ankle took a beating. 2 broken bones and a dislocation calls for a quick ride to Bennington followed by surgery and insertion of some plates and screws. He'll be rehabbing like crazy and back on snow before we know it. So if you are in southern Vermont make your way to Stratton today check out the spectacle that is the U.S. Open halfpipe finals. Drunk poachers and suprise finalists are sure to make it one hell of an event. Drag yourself to a certain slopeside house by a cetain gondola if you can...should be interesting.
