Oberstdorf, Germany – March 25th 2008: A sick Slopestyle set up, clear blue skies, tasty BBQ treats and off the wall shredding, Fellhorn park in Germany couldn’t have asked for anything better at the 3-Star O’Neill Barbecue. Riders from all over Europe made it out to the competition and in the end, it was Austrian rider Marc Swoboda who laid down the sickest run of the day claiming his first 3-Star Title and 550 TTR ranking points. German riders Heinz Löhle and Tajo Seefried took second and third respectively.

If the good food and weather wasn’t enough, snowboarders certainly had it made with one of the sickest parks around. And thanks to dumps of snow right before the contest, the Schneestern Crew was able to perfect the Slopestyle setup that included two jump features, a kicker and a hip, alongside a bounty of rails, boxes and jib features including a small quarterpipe-tree jib.

The level of riding was huge with riders impressing the judges and fans right off the bat in the qualifications. It was broken down to 8 riders in afternoon’s finals. Marc Swoboda took home first place and $4700 thanks to his massive and stylish BS 7 Chicken wing over the big kicker and technically brilliant tricks off the hip and rails. Swoboda posted his 5th TTR result of the season and sits just inside the TTR Top 70.
