Who would think that with the season Utah had last year that this year we would have one of the better winters and springs I have ever had. Powder Mountain is a hidden gem. It has a very Mom and Pop feel to it as it only has one high speed quad, which is perfect as the terrain from that chair seems to be way more mellow and sucks the crowds to it and leaves the steeper deeper terrain to the rest. When I say crowds, I should be saying lack there of. I have now been there a few times and it seems that it is pretty typical that the only tracks you see are your own.

They also have a full cat service that can be accessed from the resort which gets you to some sick terrain that dumps back into the resort. The Cat is 10 bucks a ride and runs all day. They also have Diamond Peak Heli Operations which fly from the resort as well if your looking to get a bit further out. All in All Powder Mountain has it all. I heard that they even have a park and pipe which I didn’t even make it to as there was untouched pow everywhere. Maybe next time.
