On Sunday April 13 the lifts quit turning at Crested Butte. This winter has been endless in Colorado and the Butte was forced to shut down saying goodbye to a 100+ inch base and one of the best seasons in many years. Spring came late here in CO and this was my first real day of spring riding the whole year. We were having too much fun to pull out the camera.

When the lifts shut down we headed over to the Colorado Boarder’s warehouse located right on the mountain. The place is awesome. Mini ramp, ping pong table, PBR’s. What else do you need.

Local Red played on the deck of Butte 66. I herd a Social D cover from across the base area and knew where to go.

Perfect closing day, sunny weather, soft snow, party time.

I see this guy all over CO every year in the spring. He’s pretty chill.

This guy got a little too tuned up, too early.

The next day we loaded up the sleds and headed out to Irwin Lodge which is about 10 miles from town.

Turbodream… sick.

Brrraapppp!!!! Craig Alles sending off it a little cornice.

Top of the world.

They had just gotten a couple feet out there a few days before. The 55 degree temps made for some heavy ass snow. Super fun though…

Wu-Tang Mountain
It was an awesome ending to a year we have all been waiting for for a long time. Be sure to check out Crested Butte and their DC Terrain Park. Can’t wait to get back there.
