First of all thanks for the best Pow Board I have ever ridden!!! Everyone is stoked on the Snow Board Mag Board!!

Today was an early start, we got to the heli pad at 7:00am sharp and watched Absinthe Films get to fly, paying free skiers come second to the film crews, so get used to it in Haines, its what happens..

But after a little waiting around we got to rise this line a few times, these are our trakcs from the first run down, so perfect we went back up for round 2

The third run was even better, this is the view looking down before I dropped. If you dont like steep terrain Haines might not be the best place for you. But if you like to scare yourself a bit come to visit..

Our guide Johhny B Rippin it up, this guys a local from Juneua and can move some snow around.

End of the day, time for a photo with the bird. Today was EPIC, Bluebird and lots of snow. All the film crews were out getting lots of work done. Cant wait to see the new movie next season, to think we were here for this is amazing,
nice work
Thanks for the updates hommie! I've really enjoyed reading them since I'm out of the game. Seeing someone take the steps to "make it happen" and get some real shredding done gets me fired up. This was to be my first year in AK as well but a pretty serious injury took me out in Feb so I'm kinda bummed on that, however checking yr trip out has been a pleasure. The spring time rail sessions and goofy costumes just don't do it for me...you got it figured out my friend.
Thanks
NateD
...and I don't even have one of those boards...way to rep the brand.
Next Year
Nate, sorry to here about not making it to Haines this year, injuries suck but make you want to get at it that much more. I look forward to hopefully being a HelI Guide next year in Haines. Lets make some turns next Spring!!
Thanks again for reading the blogs, it was rad to be able to show Snow Board Mag whats going on out in Haines, a trually amazing place!
Yeah nice work.
Looks like Tailgate Alaska just missed the window...you guys are gettin' the goods! Mad jealous over here fo sho.
Fight for the little guy - Read SNOWBOARD Magazine!

nice shots, m. ak is a surreal experience, and it looks like you were able to capture its awe. i was so taken aback riding there; the literal vastness of the environment is almost overwhelming.
nate, sorry to hear about your injury. dude, i blew out my compression cartilage in my knee (thus, 'blowing' out my spring ak trip) dropping a weak-ass twelve foot rock.
