Hate to be a hater

I hate to be hater (ironic?) but why does this cost $25? Im starting to pick up a trend, at least in montana and minnesota were people who are putting on comps are using the riders to profit. I thought thats what sponsors for an event were for? this thing was free in its first year, and i had a blast. But i just straight up can't afford the gas money to get up there and this fee. Angst for sure.

$?$?$

It takes A LOT of work and money to set up something like this in May, in Minnesota. It was free the first year because it was a test run. No one, including the people at Spirit, or the dudes at Damage, had any idea how much cost there would end up being. As it happend, Spirit flipped the bill. The next year, Spirit decided to charge Damage for the cost of plowing up the SNOW into the huge pile, and the extra snowmaking they put into that area of the park, and the INSURANCE, and the SKI PATROL, and all the other misc workers invloved. After the second year, Spirit raised what they charged Damage EVEN MORE. Thus, the $25 entry. Believe me though, nobody is making money of this deal. It really is a "cover their ass" situation. It wuld be great if someone had enough $$$ to throw this sick event for free but, the fact is, these guys are a poor as you. I know this to be true.
