Copper Mountain's Catalyst terrain park crew, along with the help of Snow Park Technologies Frank Wells and Brad Hoerter, built one hell of an insane quarter pipe this spring. A monster standing almost at 35+ feet of tranny. Lauren Pelletreau of the Copper Mountain marketing department extended an invite to me to come over and check it out.
The shred crew consisted of Steve Fisher, Chad Otterstrom, Erich Dummer, James Frederick and C.J. (Seabass a.k.a. The Bass) Marsh. The foto crew, Aaron Dodds and one Jeffrey Potto. And I can't forget to mention Newsroom Cinema's Ms. Justine Gunson. Actually it's Mr. Justin Gunson, on the HD. Big ups to this crew that stood atop the mountain in extreme winds easily pushing 40+ mph, riding and documenting.

The Snow Park Technologies crew, along with the Catalyst crew, spent a total of 6 days pushing the snow around in order to create one of Copper Mountain's best ever features.

Copper's Catalyst Terrain Parks Travis Tietjen testing the goods.

Snow Park Technologies Frank Wells. Yes, he's on skis.

Don't let Frank fool you, he loves it...

Steve Fisher. Getting his Frontside Cork on.

Chad Otterstrom. Backside Air.

Steve Fisher. Mid McTwist.

Steve Fisher. Tail Grab.

C.J. "The Bass" Marsh. Out of retirement.

Seabass. Coming in hot after decking out the day before.
This quarter pipe is still standing strong as winter continues to move forward here in Summit County. Even on May 10th we received at least 6" here in town. Rumors have it more crews are still looking for time to schedule a session on this wicked feature. Copper Mountain caters, no crew will be disappointed.
A very special thanks goes out to the Copper crew, Lauren Pelletreau, Pete Woods, Adam Tietz, Travis Tietjen and the always not recognized enough ski patrol. The Snow Park Technologies cat operators, Frank Wells and Brad Hoerter. All the riders, photographers and filmers that came to document. And Colorado, for just being rad and sticking to it's/their guns.
Enjoy the shred, as it's everlasting this season!
