Congratulations Britta!

eesa - the brand that created the lux layering category and South America Snow Sessions (SASS) - the premier snow camp in the southern hemisphere, teamed up to provide a once in-a-lifetime opportunity for one guy or gal to keep the dream alive by flying them to Argentina for an all-expense paid 17-day session* at SASS. Yep, that's right, eesa provides the head-to-toe kit plus a flight to Argentina and SASS provides the accommodations, meals, lift tickets and terrain for the greatest 17-day shred journey of their life!

The entries came from far-and-wide, some people submitted poetry about their shred bananas (we're pretty sure they were talking about their shred stick, but the photos were a bit blurry), some people submitted entries that tried to educate us about Argentina being the largest country in Europe, right. We even had a submission about one cat who wanted to pop the question to his lady friend, i.e., the old marriage proposal and yet another submission from a homey who 'flunked out of school because he was shredding too much, lived at school scamming meals at the dinning common, fell in love and ultimately fell out of love, due to the love of shred and requesting what he called a 'shame-spiral' recovery sesh at SASS'. That one was actually in the running there for a while.

In the end it came down to a mad dose of creativity in the form of a hand-built pop-up book complete with a story about the shred and partying in Argentina you can check out here and an all-around kick-ass hand-knitted beer muff which in itself was win worthy. The winner is Britta Byer of California. When we called Britta to let her know, all she could choke out between the hysterics and screaming was "the trip is going to be ridiculous. I'm beyond stoked! This is an incredible opportunity to shred on the other side of the world, take in a little culture and ride amazing mountains. Eesa and Sass are rad. I can't wait!" Britta will be attending session 5 August 22nd to September 7th, experiencing all the shred that SASS has to offer and the lux eesa provides.
