DNA Evolution Tour Rail Jam Comes to Boyne Mountain

Boyne Falls, Mich., June 5, 2008 - If you long for winter park riding, unpack the snowboards and skis and head to Boyne Mountain for the DNA Evolution Tour Rail Jam on Sunday, June 15. The day will be filled with competitions galore, adrenaline pumping music and industry pros with gear on-hand. Winners advance to nationals and compete for a pro contract!

DNA's rail jam will take place in Boyne Mountain's parking lot adjacent to the Clock Tower Lodge. The footprint for this monster is 40' x 90' and its' three rails provide ample grinding space for six events ranging from Best Trick to the Main Event. Spectators and participants can ride for free during the Open Sessions scheduled from Noon to 2 p.m.

The competition begins at 3 p.m. with one-on-one action, skiers against skiers, and snowboarders against snowboarders. Points are awarded and following three hours of intense rail jam competition, the top eight skiers and boarders qualify for the Main Event held at 7 p.m. The ensuing awards ceremony recognizes the top Main Event skier and snowboarder and Best Trick and Female Trick contestants who advance to nationals held at the SIA Show at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada and compete for a pro contract.

"This is the first time DNA has brought their Evolution Tour Rail Jam to northern Michigan and we're looking forward to a great day of competition," said Dan Turcott, BOYNE events professional.

All participants must wear a helmet and be at least 18-years of age or have parents on-site. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. the day of the event at Boyne Mountain's Boyne Country Sports store. For complete information and pricing, please visit BOYNE.com.
