Dakine and Windells have partnered up to create the “Dakine Handplant Contest” for campers visiting Mt. Hood this summer. The format was of course the best possible handplant/most excited camper, who wins a free backpack from Dakine. The idea being to get as many campers as possible to try to learn how to do handplants and experience a good session with product on the line.

Today was exceptionally fun as the handplant contest was in the mini half pipe at Windells. This made for some hilarious attempts and some very funny falls. Even some of the coaches and camp filmers and photographers were joining in trying to learn how to do proper handplants.

Sarah Phillips was probably the only one to land a handplant the correct way. However all and all the campers had a blast and two of them took home a fresh Dakine pack for their efforts. We will be at it again next week so keep your eyes peeled!
