The Stepchild crew
In honor of Stepchild week at Camp of Champions Chi Guy made his way up the glacier along with Infamous' JP Walker, Simon Chamberlain and Joe Sexton. Joe came to camp practically straight from his hospital bed, since he recently had surgery on his knee, so he wasn't able to shred. But he did go up the hill to hang with the campers and judge a couple of rail jams. He also hosted a 'Tie-Dying with Joe,' after-camp session so the campers could spend the rest of the week lapping the park in psychedelic, Grateful Dead inspired kits.

JP has also been rehabing a shoulder injury, so he was keeping it pretty mellow. In true JP fashion he did stomp a couple of back lips on the wallride and take it to some rails. JP and Simon spent their days hiking or doing laps of the park, riding with campers, eating chocolate bars and taking a nap or two during lunch break.

Getting a little shut eye.
After riding the guys headed to the COC activities tent where they skated the mini ramp and hosted a massive game of BUMP on the basketball court. JP, Simon and Joe ended the week by giving away Stepchild boards to some lucky campers.

Bump!

Stevie Bell was up at camp the week before Stepchild week with the Forum team. Here's what he had to say, "Camp of Champs is so sick, I'm stoked I came. Everyone is hella chill." Stevie was so stoked that he ended up staying for a couple of extra days after the rest of the team went home.

Not jail stripes, Camp of Champs stripes.
Spencer O'Brien is once again coaching at camp this summer, so she has been there since day one. She has been having fun helping her girls progress and taking part in the various after-camp activities like Nikita's Monday Makeovers. During Stepchild week she took some time off to focus on her own riding and to get ready for the Australian and NZ Opens.
