Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., July 15, 2008 - The Meeting, the premier gathering of snowsports filmmakers, athletes, sponsors, media and fans, will reconvene in Aspen, Colo. October 2 – 5, 2008.

Now in its fourth year, The Meeting has grown to be the cornerstone kick-off event for the ski and snowboard industry. The latest snow films will screen at the Wheeler Opera House and Belly Up throughout the weekend. Parties, including a media bash and the second annual D&E Fashion Show, will surround the films. In addition, private sessions with guest speakers and athletes allow for a spirited discussion on the state of the industry.

The sixth annual NEPSA Video Awards kick off the event on Thursday, October 2, at the Wheeler Opera House. The NEPSA Awards provide an opportunity for athletes and filmmakers to work together in crafting and debuting their own ski/snowboard movie while competing for a cash prize. This year's theme is Entourage.

Event organizers are currently reviewing movies for this year's event. If you are interested in screening your movie please contact rsvp@aspensnowmass.com or send information to Aspen/Snowmass, Attn: The Meeting, P.O. Box 1248, Aspen, Colorado 81612. Directly following the NEPSA Awards, D&E Ski and Snowboard Shop will host the official kick off party for The Meeting and the second annual D&E Fashion Show at Belly Up.

As always, The Sky Hotel will be headquarters for The Meeting and will offer special industry room rates.
