Words by Tawnya Schultz Word on the streets was that the Denver tour stop of That’s It, That’s All was going to be the best and for good reason. Booking a premiere at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in downtown Denver had yet to be accomplished by any snowboard movie before but who woulda thunk it was going to surpass everybody’s expectations even more so. The movie wasn’t even released to the streets yet and attempting to reach a 2,200 capacity venue seemed kinda, let’s just say, unrealistic. Then again we’re talking about “That’s It, That’s All” the most hyped snowboard flick ever and as they say curiosity killed the cat. I myself had already seen the vid but since I could probably watch that movie every day for the rest of my life and be content I was ready and waiting when the doors opened at the theatre.
T Rice practicing his opera skills. Some peeps checkin’ out Zimmerman’s photos. High school prom? No..it’s just some dressed up kids posin’ for the cameras. Zimmmerman talking to some possible buyers. At first the crowd was semi mellow but as an hour passed the lobby filled up as did the four level theatre. As you can tell by the photos this wasn’t any rinky dink old school place. It was a legit opera house where actual Broadway shows go down. Many peeps fully followed the invite’s “dress to impress” note as you can tell also. The entire SNOWBOARD Mag CO crew came out to support the Brain Farm boys once again. T Rice, Producer Curt Morgan, his adorable wifey Tiff, and even Lando made it down from his lair in WA to party it up in Denver. Needless to say “That’s it, That’s All” once again surpassed my expectations. Watching it on what seemed like an IMAX screen complete with two projectors and impeccable sound quality, I could feel every part of the movie pulsating through my body, and even more so after when I realized I was partially def. I think Larry said it best when we were leaving the venue, “It’s cool that this many people are actually into snowboarding.” I even thought it was better than cool; the response to the movie was truly overwhelming and that there makes me happy that I do what I do. Thanks to the Brain Farm guys for doing it big, thanks to everyone who came out from all around CO for the support, thanks to Red Bull of course, and lastly the Ellie Caulkins Opera House for allowing such mayhem. |

Fuck yeah!
That was by far the coolest premier I've ever been too not to mention probably the best snowboard movie I've ever seen. I watched my second movie of this year today: Double Decade and though its a good flick I was like wow this shit doesn't compare to TITA. Only complaint... Cheaper drinks at the bar that shit was ridiculous! $9 for a "double" which was closer to single at any normal watering hole.
Ah yea boi...
This was such an incredible film and such a fun time. It was awesome to be around so many people who were stoked on snowboarding.
I wrote up a little recap/review of the film on my blog Hybrid Sessions.
You should all peep it!
What a night!
By far the best premiere I've been to. The atmosphere was one of a kind and the movie was mind blowing... can't wait to see it again. Let it snow!
