this is a shot from today 4-19-2005. the place was empty and the snow soft. perfect!! the only problems is that there isnt enought people to make $$ so sunday might be the last day. so everyone in socal go up there are ride while you can.

snowboarding is FUN

the way out is a death trap. i dont see why the mountain has to be so trashy!! the rodes are awful, and the bathrooms are constanly nasty. with all the $$ they make they could improve these things!!

Makeover?

Yeah, the place needs a makeover and some attention. I was there today. It was fun to ride locally at this time of the year, but I'd be surprised if it stays open later than this weekend.

Snow Valley?

I went to snow valley for the first time in 12 years last week. You wouldn't believe how much snow they have! The park is pretty week but the freeriding is soooo good for it being almost may in SoCal.

It sucks

Yeah, it sucks. Bear and Snow Summit shut down for the same reason. There are lots of people riding, but 99-percent of them have seasons passes. Now, I'm not sure what it costs to run a ski resort for a day, but it can't be cheap. I might just start paying to ride. Anyone with me? Probably not.
