Moss looks for his line...

Words and Photos: Mike Thomas
Riders: Moss Halladay and Paul Gemignani

Right before the last in a series of epic December storms that blasted the San Juans set in, we got one beautiful Sunday afternoon on Dec. 21, as the skies cleared to offer a slight break in the snow and some great shooting conditions. Moss Halladay came down for the weekend and we got the chance to bask in Wolf Creek’s nearly 100 -inch base on a certified bluebird afternoon. The very next day Paul Gemignani and I went back to help out with the Salomon Snowboards demo and got in some chest deep riding as overnight Sunday into Monday a new storm had set in to drop what would be another three feet of new snow before it was over.

...and finds it.

Waist deep in the sun.

Steep and tight.

Nose grab.

Pow slash.

A couple folks stop to watch.

Paul the next day in the white room.
