Is Design Welcomes Back Mikey LeBlanc

IS Design Press Release

June 21, 2005, Vancouver, BC - IS Design is very excited and extremely proud to announce the return of Mikey Leblanc. Mikey has been one of the world’s top professional snowboarders for years and continues to push the sport whether it’s on his snowboard, behind the scenes creating snowboard films or running Holden. Mikey’s life is 100 percent dedicated to snowboarding and that’s why we’re so happy to have him back. His energy, skills and creativity are an inspiration to us all.

For those who don’t know, Mikey rode for us from 1999 to 2003. Here’s the story of his departure and the explanation of his return written by none other than the man himself “Mikey Leblanc”.

“To whom it may concern”,
I am writing to you today with great vigor and excitement. I feel as though I have been setteth free to once again roam upon mountaintops and trod downeth into the depths of the snow-laden valleys. Once again free from the constraints of fogged vision, broken promises, and skiers. Thank the sweet lord above for this wondrous return. Like the boy to his father in the bible that comes home to his fathers welcoming open arms, I hath returneth to I.S. Design. You know it is said that everyone must stray from their path to find it again. It is also said that 12x6+17-13 divided by 9 =3.33... the repeating number that proves all is endless. It is also said on posters at the mall that “If you love something, set it free........ If it comes back to you, it was always yours....... If it doesn’t, it never was.” Well I.S. lovethed me and let me go. I went off in pursuit of my happiness in truckloads of money, dreams of grandeur, and ski poles. And we know where that path leads...to the devils merchants. I tell you, they came to me uponeth two wooden sticks strapped to their feet. Their split tongues slithering sweet promises that rolled like honey off their tongues. When this sweet sounding spittle hit the floor, it singed the concrete like acid. I narrowly escaped the depths I had dropped to...for in my deepest moment of despair I was thrown a proverbial rope. I grasped it with all my strength and looked aboveth me to be blinded by the glory of my saviors....I have seeneth the light. I knew at once I must return home with great haste. Return home to where I belong, amongst friends, family and fellow snowboarders.”
