I think the early snowboards are strongly similar to sleds. It's amazing that they were able to keep them in good shape. They look heavy and must go faster downhill than the modern snowboards. It also looks like it can carry more than one person. I wonder what the noose is for. Do you wear it on your ankle like a surfboard?

no, these are the original boards. My brother in law got the photos from a former burton employee. I do not think these photos have been seen before.
