FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ICER AIR 2005: POSTPONED
SAN FRANCISCO (August 24, 2005) – ICER AIR 2005, scheduled to take place August 27, has been postponed due to an unprecedented level of interest and enthusiasm for the event. The event has grown to a larger magnitude than was originally conceptualized, which ultimately raised a number of additional safety and logistical concerns. Mayor Newsom and the City of San Francisco are one hundred percent supportive and personally engaged in working with ICER and the San Francisco community to make this event a success. ICER, in partnership with the City of San Francisco, will spend the next 30-60 days addressing and amending the raised concerns that will ultimately produce the best event possible. Jonny Moseley and the ICER team look forward to working with Mayor Newsom and the City of San Francisco to produce a fantastic, one-of-a-kind event for San Francisco. ICER remains committed to putting on a spectacular, safe and unforgettable big-air ski
and snowboard competition for San Francisco. ICER would like to express sincere thanks to Mayor Newsom and the City of San Francisco for their personal attention to this matter. Finally, ICER expresses sincere gratitude to JEEP, EA Sports, the Norwegian Consulate and all of the incredible sponsors, athletes and supporters of ICER AIR 2005. About ICER: ICER was incepted in 2000 as a small ski and snowboard products company, with aspirations to grow the company to a global sports brand. ICER first entered the marketplace by introducing a revolutionary new pocket sized spray-on liquid wax for skis and snowboards. Building on the success of the ski and snowboard product lines, ICER plans to expand and roll out products for sailing, surfing, wakeboarding, water-skiing, skateboarding and biking. ICER AIR 2005 is the first of many urban sports events that ICER hopes to bring to major metropolitan cities nationwide.
