Vista, Ca - DC Shoes, Inc. is pleased to announce the female athlete roster set to represent DC Girls' snowboard team for Winter 2005-2006. DC welcomes Priscilla Levac, Jacqui Berg, Erin Valverde, Drea Russell and Indigo Monk.

As one of the cornerstones of its marketing strategy, DC has built a world-class team of professional skateboarders, snowboarders, and surfer. DC's Girls' Division continues this heritage.

"This team represents all-around talented riders who bring a variety of specialties and specific mountain expertise to snowboarding," says Amy Botts, Girls' Marketing Manager of DC Shoes. DC will work hard to bring out bring out the team's individual personalities, skills and strengths."

DC has launched the girls' snowboard team with arguably the best female snowboarder in the world, Canadian Priscilla Levac.

Priscilla took first place Slopestyle at the US Open and won Snowboarder's prestigious Female Rider of the Year award in 2004. She’s been nominated for the 2005 TransWorld Snowboarding Rider's Poll Female Rider of the Year as well.

Priscilla has proved she can withstand the pressure of competition while earning the respect of her peers. This little metal-head is wrapped in a petite athletic package. When she's not schooling the guys on the mountain, she can be found behind the eight-ball as her alter ego, the Pool Hustler.

Priscilla Levac will have video parts only in As If! , Misschief Film's latest all-girl rip flick, and is the only female rider in DC’s first-ever snowboard video, the eagerly anticipated Mtn. Lab. Both films are set for released this fall.

"Let me tell you on how stoked I am on DC! DC---it is the dopest!" Priscilla exclaimed on joining the team. Priscilla will represent DC boots, footwear, and apparel.

DC is also proud to have the effervescent Jacqui Berg as a member of the team. A Mammoth Lakes local ripper, Jacqui has recently appeared in SG Magazine's oversize issue sessioning a huge rail.

As Jacqui waits (not so) patiently for the season to get going, she fills her downtime with painting, and has started to display her work at art shows. Jacqui will compete in "Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails" at Bear in September with fellow DC team rider Drea Russell.

"I feel lucky to represent such an innovative company. It's really exciting to be part of the great DC girls snowboarding program,” says Jacqui, who'll be ripping in DC outerwear, boots, apparel, and footwear.

Oregon native Erin Valverde's incredible big mountain riding landed her a feature part in Chunky Knits' new film, Transfer. She started off the 05/06 season by traveling to New Zealand, and has plans to sled around northern mountain states and travel to Western Europe and Russia are in store for this talented and naturally athletic back country rider. Erin balances her on-mountain schedule with her love of art. She attends college and is majoring in graphic design.

"It's really exciting to be a part of the DC girls' team," says Erin. "Each of my teammates has a unique style. Everyone at DC is so rad and fun to hang with, and I'm stoked to work with the team." You'll see Erin in DC boots, footwear, and apparel.

Drea Russell graduated from Stratton Mountain School in spring 2005. SMS is a ski and snowboard academy located at the base of Stratton Mountain, Vermont. It gives competitive snowboarders the chance to get an excellent education, travel with the best team in the country, and be coached by the best in the industry.

The SMS training ground has built Drea into an energetic contest machine. Her recent contest results include first place at the Forum Youngblood Rail Jam 2004, first at Women's J1 Slopestyle Junior Olympics 2005, and second in Open Class at the 2005 Queen of the Mountain.

Drea is carving a name for herself as a rail-rider not to be reckoned with. As she tackles rails and slopestyle, her calendar for the upcoming season is packed with competitions, travel, and serious Mtn. Lab sessioning.

"DC is a rad company that is full of awesome people," says Drea. "The product is amazing! I'm so excited to be a part of the DC girls' snow program from the beginning." Drea is the complete package for DC, and she'll be riding DC outerwear and boots, as well as footwear and apparel.

The youngest and best representation of grom the DC Girls' team holds, is the 10-year-old Indigo "Go-Go" Monk, riding for DC boots and footwear. At 10 years old, Indigo is ready to take on the 2012 Olympics. Her natural athletic ability and talents are set to provide a successful snowboarding future.

The crew had a chance to assemble at Mt. Hood for an official team gathering earlier this summer. There was an instant rapport among the girls---a close-knit team atmosphere was instamatic.

The team was on location for a shooting for the I Have a Secret marketing campaign, which hits national magazines, retail, and dcgirls.com this fall.

The DC Girls' snowboard team might even sneak in a trip or two to the DC Mtn. Lab, one of the perks to being on the DC team. Team plans for Winter 05-06 include filming, travel, competitions, and of course, good times.
