I loved your issues last season but I was amazed when a friend brought a copy of the new issue back from ASR. I read the issue cover to cover. You guys really stepped it up this year- I thought the stories were really good- I liked the one about the guy moving to the mountains. That was cool and something I would like to do. Also the boot zine was really cool too. Nice work, I can't wait to see the next issue. Snowboard mag rules!

I got mine a couple days ago. I've been swamped with work and have only managed to skim it, but it looks sick and I love the cover. I'm just outside Seattle, but I'm not sure where it's shipping from. Regardless, hold fast - you should get it soon and we know it'll be worth the wait!

Well...
Just so our subscribers that have posted comments here know we aren't avoiding the issue, we are aware of the problems with the magazine's shipment. The magazines started shipping on the 15th of September and are beginning to show up in shops and bookstores this week. Subscriber copies should begin to arrive this week as well. The magazines have left the printer and are on the way. There is not much we can do about the USPS' shipping schedule at this point. Obviously some of the other magazines will arrive differently than ours - I guess there are some benefits of having large corporations like AOL/Time Warner owning snowboard magazines.
All I can say (and I know it doesn't make the wait any easier) is know that when you do get the magazine - it was written, designed and paid for by snowboarders with money that came out of our own pockets. With all the talk about the current and new snowboard magazines out now (TW, Future, etc.), it makes me proud to say that we are not a part of the profit hungry corporate machine, scrambling to get a piece of the pie. Unfortunately, not having a daddy with deep pockets does have an effect on certain things like distribution.
Also, one of the things I love about this site is that it has remained overall very positive and there isn’t a bunch of pointless sh*t talking that you will find on many other web sites. I’d also like to say that I'm not trying to hate on any of the other magazines. As some of you may know, all of us here at SNOWBOARD have worked for various magazines in the past, and we all respect what they do. We are friends with all of the staff from the other mags and wish them well (just quit biting us). However, I still have to make the point that we are different. Why get your snowboarding fix from giant media conglomerates that feed the masses CNN type lies and try to market joining the Army and when you can get it from snowboarders?

After going through the new issue I have to agree with Runke, you guys are "killing it". You guys have taken it to another level. All the passion and hard work (and I would imagine, sleepless nights) that all of you have put into the magazine is definately felt through every page. I applaud you guys for having a vision, following through with it and setting yourselves apart from others. (To all reading this, don't get it twisted, I'm not kissing ass. I'm just saying it how I see it)
I understand the frustration from both sides. We subscribers need to be a bit more patient, it's on its way. It has been a long summer and we are all anxious for snow. So I understand the furstration. This also leads me to believe that other snowboard publications that have monthly issues aren't quenching your thirst, like Snowboard Mag does, so that's a good sign.

i am really stoked to see the latest issue. i know how start-ups go, so when the magazine arrives is when i will get it-not stressing like some.
a lot of us on here were fortunate enough to get the $10 early subscribers deal-let's not trip too hard, the magazine will show-up as promised.
on a side note how bad is 'future snowboard magazine' or is that just me? it's like 'tiger beat' with snow.

I got to agree with LJJ, thanks for putting a breath of fresh air into the major magazine world. I am just stoked to know you guys are making it with a rider driven magazine. Everything I have heard is that this issue is unreal. I am eargerly awaiting my copy, but definitely not stressing.
In regards to the competition, I got a subscription to one of the other big mags last December and didn't receive an issue until August. Now after only two issues they have sent a notice that my subscription will run out in a month.
On a side note, I have heard that once again the east coast will be without its own rag.

I have already read it through at Barnes and noble a couple of times but now I can read it at home...I love what you guys are doing, by far my favorite mag...Hopefully I will get my next issue earlier rather than later!!!
