What was the trick he pulled in hmmm, I think it was Riders on the Storm or the video after that- it was like a McTwist off a straight jump. I remeber seeing that for the first time- and rewinding it 100 times. Freeze framing, slo-moing- just trying to understand what he was doing. To that time it was the most bad ass trick done on a snowboard.
I think that was the first trick that was actually sequence worthy.
yeah that was a crazy move. Stomped it. Years ahead of schedule. He would also do straight gainer backflips off mogul rock at boreal so big it was scary.
The Man!
Yup, he was the man!
agreed
Cardiel was my favorite snowboarder from that era - him and Roach are owed alot of credit. Do snowboarders today even know who they were thou?

Dont think many know....
..how sick these guys are. Roach would stomp huge cliffs 40-50 foot perfect and Cardiel - nutz.
You used to ride with him didn't you?
