2005 Block Party Rail Jam SUPERPOST!

Travis Parker Hand Plant

Travis Parker, doing what he does best.

What a success! The 2005 Block Party Rail Jam went crazy this year. Bear Mountain made a great setup with plenty of rail and wall ride options. The setup featured a down, flat, down, flat, down rail that MFM somehow worked up the guts to gap all the way to the last down section. A tree ride sat in the middle of the bottom of the course, which claimed Chris Dufficy, after almost landing a huge rock to fakie up top. The tree ride was a crowd favorite, but after Dufficy injured his knee, the attention moved to the single-barrel down rail. Mike Casanova threw combos out of a video game on it, and 18 year-old fill-in rider Joey Sexton shined, somehow throwing a 360 on, to 50-50, 180 out. Just to show he wasn't kidding around, he did it twice in a row. Other tricks out of the Casanova/Sexton battle included front board, pretzel out of the tightly-kinked down-flat-down stair rail.

The wall ride also saw a lot of action from Bear's Clayton Shoemaker and Travis Parker. The two were in a hand plant competition, which Parker won with a double-handed inverted push up press.
